By accessing or using aichecker.tech ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
aichecker.tech provides free AI content detection and plagiarism checking tools. The Service analyzes text submitted by users and returns probabilistic assessments of whether content is AI-generated or matches existing published sources. The Service is provided "as is" for informational purposes.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or intimidate any person
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the detection algorithms
- Submit automated or scripted requests that exceed reasonable usage limits
- Circumvent rate limits or security measures
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Redistribute, resell, or white-label the Service without written permission
4. Rate Limits
The Service enforces rate limits to ensure fair access for all users. Currently, individual IP addresses are limited to 5 checks per minute and 50 checks per day across the AI detector and plagiarism checker combined. Rate-limited requests receive an HTTP 429 response with a Retry-After header indicating when to try again. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time to maintain service quality.
5. No Data Retention
Text submitted for analysis is processed in real-time and is not stored, logged, or retained after the analysis is complete. We do not build user profiles, track submissions, or use submitted text for model training. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
6. Accuracy Disclaimer
AI detection and plagiarism checking are probabilistic by nature. The Service provides probability estimates and should not be used as the sole basis for consequential decisions including academic disciplinary action, employment decisions, content removal, or legal proceedings. No AI detector achieves 100% accuracy. Results should be considered as one data point alongside human judgment and other evidence.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the text you submit. We claim no ownership over your content. The Service itself, including its design, code, branding, and detection methodology, is the intellectual property of aichecker.tech and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. In no event shall aichecker.tech be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless aichecker.tech from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, without notice or liability.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
